Ok, I admit to being a bit obsessive with the Freddie Gray case and subsequent protests and police riots but this latest posted on the not venerable WaPo is utter bullshite. Prisoner in Van Says . . . .
Um, ok, cops pick up Mr. Gray and then do stuff which involves a rough ride which apparently "prisoner in the van" didn't have a problem with. Now Prisoner in the Van says Mr. Gray basically went bonkers and whacked himself around enough to crush his voice box and almost sever his spine in order to do something something.
The police "investigative report" is due out Friday. What day is this? Oh, right, Wednesday on the East Coast of the United States of Needing Amnesty International. The only place this amazing info could have come from is the Baltimore Police Department. Did they rough ride the guy around? Provide other incentives?
The Sun Paper reporters all have massive jaded eyes even though the Boston Globe bought them lunch yesterday.
I used to be a person who took one cop at a time. I've always had good experiences because I'm a white woman. This latest smear is utter bullshite. I wish my Uncle Pat were still alive -- a very colorful and famous trial attorney in Baltimore. He'd destroy these assholes after having a few vodkas.
I'm sorry if I'm over writing but this is the city of my birth -- and I lived there for over a decade as an adult. I know first hand the corruption of the machines -- both Republican and Democatic. There were really effective young voices out tonight in the Young People's March.
